AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE

AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 358 RELATING TO COUNTY HOLIDAYS

AND BUSINESS HOURS OF COUNTY OFFICES

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, Ordains as Follows:

Section 1. All County and other officers of the County of Riverside shall keep their offices open for the transaction of business from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day except as follows:

a. Every Sunday

b. Every Saturday

c. January 1

d. Third Monday in January

e. February 12

f. Third Monday in February

g. Last Monday in May

h. July 4

i. First Monday in September

j. Second Monday in October

k. November 11

l. Thanksgiving Day, which shall be the fourth Thursday in November unless otherwise appointed.

m. Friday following Thanksgiving Day

n. December 24 and 31 when they fall on Monday

o. December 25

p. December 26 and January 2, when they fall on Friday.

q. Friday preceding January 1, February 12, July 4, November 11 or December 25, when such date falls on Saturday; the Monday following such date when such date falls on a Sunday.

Section 2. The Board of Supervisors may, by resolution, alter the days and/or hours for which a County office may be open for the transaction of business, when those hours are at variance from those specified in Section 1 herein.
