   BOARD MEMBERS

   Supervisor Stone mentioned that the “Race for Humanity” has 2 containers in the Atrium for a food drive.

   Supervisor Stone also mentioned the Commission for women is holding its open house on Tuesday, April 14th in the Atrium from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will be offering free booth space to any county agency that is interested Contact Sunday Sales with Human Resources at 955-0226 and in addition the Commission will be honoring their Woman of the Year at the Supervisors meeting, April 14th.

   Supervisor Stone mentioned that the County would help the Ramona Pageant stay open by purchasing the Ramona Bowl and having EDA run it. 

   Supervisor Stone commented on the vandalism in the city of Temecula is offering a $5,000 dollar reward to anyone.

 

   EXECUTIVE OFFICER

   Bill Luna called the Boards attention to a memo he submitted regarding the management resolution which asks the Board to suspend the merit increase for his position.

   Supervisor Buster requested that all changes to salary and other benefits be summarized in the form 11, highlighted or put in bold.

   Supervisor Tavaglione mentioned the state deficit appears to be rising and is currently at 16 billion.

13.1    REGIONAL PARK AND OPEN SPACE DISTRICT:  Authorize the Request to Release 50% of the Retention for the Construction of a Miniature Golf Course at Rancho Jurupa Park, 2nd District.

15.1    TRANSPORTATION & LAND MANAGEMENT AGENCY/PLANNING: GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 869 (AGRICULTURAL/ENTITLEMENT POLICY) – T & B Planning – Lower Coachella Valley Zoning District – Eastern Coachella Valley Area Plan – 4th District. The Planning Director recommends that the Board adopt an order initiating proceedings for the above-referenced general plan amendment to eliminate the land use designation of Agriculture: Agriculture (10 acre minimum) and would establish a Community Development Specific Plan on the 624.6 gross acre project site. The Specific Plan will include medium and high density single family and multi family residential development as well as recreational and conservation open space uses.          (CONT’D. 16.1    FACILITIES MANAGEMENT:  Public Hearing at the Request by Tovey/Shultz Construction, Inc., to substitute out subcontractor Array Builders, Inc. for the San Jacinto Valley Animal Shelter, 3rd District.
